The February 3, 2014 edition of the Journal of the American Medical Association Internal Medicine reported on the largest study of its kind in medical history.  Yang, et. al., Added Sugar Intake and Cardiovascular Disease Mortality Among US Adults.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24493081

The findings revealed that adults who consumed the most sugar had an almost three times greater risk of dying prematurely from heart disease.

This report emanating from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention helps corroborate our decades-long warning about the lethal vascular impact of after-meal glucose spikes.

This study showed it does not take much in the way of “added sugars” to increase fatal heart problems. Just daily consumption of a sugary roll, a single soda, and ice cream placed adults at a 2.75-fold greater cardiac risk!

As part of the Alpha Male Medical Institute Program we strongly encourage you to follow our low glycemic nutrition plan to eliminate this potential cardiovascular risk.

The Alpha Male Nutritional Program is part of your new lifestyle and is essential for your success to:

  • Maximize the results of your medical management program.
  • Prevent acute & chronic disease such as: heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, type II diabetes, degenerative diseases and cancer.
  •  Increase metabolism and energy.
  • Improved strength and endurance

LIFE WITH A LOW GLYCEMIC NUTRITION PLAN

When a low glycemic meal is consumed, blood glucose elevates at a slower pace, allowing the pancreas to moderate the amount of insulin released so it is relative to the volume of glucose. Because there is less insulin circulating in the blood stream, fewer cells absorb glucose; levels never fall below optimal range. Food cravings and low energy crashes diminish once you adjust to the diet, as the body is consistently able to utilize body fat as its primary source of energy.

Consuming balanced low glycemic meals maintains a consistent balance of hormone levels, allowing the body to function efficaciously with optimal health.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A LOW GLYCEMIC LIFESTYLE:

  • Consistently high energy levels
  • Satisfaction from eating
  • Efficient immunity
  • Weight loss and ability to maintain weight

The Alpha Male Nutritional Program recognizes that a low glycemic nutrition plan is not only important for the reasons indicated above, but also because:

Insulin Competes with Growth Hormone

These two hormones use the same receptor site to communicate with cells; therefore, only one hormone can be functionally elevated at a time. Managing insulin with a low glycemic diet will allow growth hormone to be optimally high and functional.
